4. Installation 
 

5. Cautions of Installation : 

 

a. UPVC repair clamps is only suit for Butt Fusion Joint and Socket Fusion Joint of Plastic Pipe but it's not suit for Electro Fusion Joint of Plastic Pipe.

 

b. The size and pressure rating of UPVC repair clamps should be match up with the size and pressure rating of leaking pipeline. The pressure rating of UPVC repair clamps is 1.0 Mpa ( 10 bar ) and it is prohibited to use UPVC repair clamps if the operation pressure of your pipeline is above 1.0 Mpa (10 bar )

 

c. You should check the surface of UPVC repair clamps if there is any crack or damage before installation and the UPVC repair clamps with crack or damage is prohibited to use .

 

d. The pressure of pipeline should be reduced before installation of UPVC repair clamps .

 

e. The oxidizing material and mud on the surface of pipeline should be cleaned before installation and then check the breakage of pipeline and the broken pipeline should be cut off and replaced if it's long and you are not recommended to use UPVC repair clamps for the leaking pipeline with the oversize breakage.

 

f. Put the lubricant ( such as soap water, detergent and etc) on the pipeline surface and rubber gasket of repair clamps for the role of lubrication which is needed for position adjustment of repair clamps during installation process .

 

g. uninstall the vent hole plug of repair clamps and then fix the leaking position with two half bodies of repair clamps and fasten with bolts and nuts in diagonal direction .

 

h. wrap the plug with tape and fix into vent hole of repair clamps

 

i. You should not start the pump until air inside the pipeline exhausted by the exhaust device of pipeline and then restore pipeline pressure when air exhausted .
